2020 Judicial Assignments

In what is assumed is an effort to keep broaden the judges' knowledge and experience, when January rolls around, so do many of the local judges.  This year is no exception, but it does not look like it will have much impact to Attorney Hanks cases in

Fortunately, there won't be too much change in the judicial assignments in the Pinellas Circuit and County Courts, at any of the four locations for court: St. Petersburg (Family and Civil), the Pinellas County Justice Center off 49th Street North, in Clearwater (Criminal, Traffic, Juvenile and Unified Family), the County Judicial Building in downtown Clearwater (Family and Civil), or the North County Traffic Division in Countryside.  In the eight Family Law Divisions, we have Peter Ramsberger, Jack Helinger, Doneene Loar and Cynthia Newton, in the St. Petersburg Divisions, and Frederick Pollack, Jack St. Arnold, Christopher LaBruzzo and Rebecca Hamilton in the Clearwater Divisions.   Attorney Hanks has appeared in front of each one of these judges, and knows what to expect.  Put that insight to use in your case.

And that consistency for 2020 continues in the Criminal, Civil and Probate Divisions as well.  Where there will be change, unfortunately, is in the South County Traffic Division.  Come January, we'll be bidding farewell to Joshua Riba, who made the retirement of Bill Overton, seem like it never happened, continuing with his friendly demeanor and reasonable approach to the bench.  Judge Riba will be trading assignments with Myriam Irizarry, who will be leaving behind Unified Family/Dependency Court, to handle traffic tickets.  Having appeared before Judge Irizarry when she was assigned to a criminal division, Attorney Hanks is familiar with Judge Irizarry, and it will be interesting to see how she approaches traffic cases.
